Peanut Butter Cookies

These are from Fine Cooking, issue 68, last year's baking issue. They are your typical peanut butter cookies, fork tines and all. Sam and Steve really liked them, more than my usual recipe. So, I guess I'll adopt this one permanently.

I used a Tablespoon measure to put them on the cookie sheet. This is a great technique because you get cookies uniform in size and shape.

A great soup

Friday, December 9, 2005
Garlicky Tortellini, Spinach & Tomato Soup from Fine Cooking issue #47

This soup comes together in minutes. It is healthy and it tastes just great, liked you've worked on it all day. I could think of the zillion things to add to it, like white beans, or shrimp, or cooked sausage. But really it is a great meal, just as the recipe is written. You must put parmesan on top, it really makes a difference.

Coffeehouse scones

December 6,2005

I found this scone recipe on JoyofBaking.com. I decided to make a chocolate-cherry version because that is my favorite. They turned out great. Steve really liked them. There are a lot of good recipes on this website.
